1. Secure Managed Hosting Service / Technology Facilities Management
To house your servers and equipment Cradle, provides end to end discovery,
design, project management and ongoing administration and management
facilities. Our Co-Location, Dedicated and Managed Servers are housed in
standard racks of 19 inch format. The space housing your equipment is state
of the art and of the highest quality with 24 x 7 security.
2. Business Continuity Planning Facilities
Cradle understand how critical Business Continuity Planning is, evidenced by
our system engineering and testing procedures. An example of this is how our
critical systems have been engineered to remove single points of failure by
clustering technology and Storage Area Networking, supported by high speed
optical networking. The DR/BCP facilities includes full environmental
monitoring, generator, UPS power facilities and fully redundant optical
networking. This facility also has extensive security and access controls.
3. Change Management
Cradle have a proven Change Management facility available, including
authorisation and audit facilities, that may be utilised by external
clients. Cradle’s successful change management discipline and the processes
built are reflected in the high availability of Cradle’s systems and
facilities.
Change Management data is maintained by Cradle staff and includes procedures
for internal and external authorisations (via email), Change History
reporting and performance summaries, as well as maintaining configuration
documentation.
4. Facility Features
Cradle’s facilities are built to Australian Standard AS2834 or better,
employing world’s best practice in all aspects of day to day business.
5. Fire Protection
The Cradle Fire control system includes an Inergen full flooding fire
suppression gas system, plus a Dry Pipe Sprinkler System as a backup to the
Inergen system and VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) all of which
are used to protect the computer room in the case of a fire.

6. Power Systems
The Cradle Un-interruptible Power System (UPS) allows for a total failure of
any one unit without effecting the load equipment attached to it. To further
protect equipment, a power reticulation system employs numerous localised
sub distribution boards to segregate the computer room into manageable
areas.
7. Air Conditioning
Cradle employs redundant configurations of process cooling units placed
around the computer room perimeter. This ensures that units may be
maintained or repaired without impacting the environment.
8. Water in Computer Rooms
Tracetek 1000 is a under floor monitoring system that detects water leaks,
Tracetek consists of two systems the first is a measuring device that
displays in metres where the fault is, the second is the Oztech system which
graphically displays exactly where the water is. Cradle’s water detection
systems consists of spot detectors located under each process cooling unit
and an additional set of wet string detectors along the sub floor. The sub
floor has four large drains fitted to remove any water from a sprinkler
dump.
9. Environmental Control
All aspects of the Cradle computer room environment including temperature,
humidity, air conditioning, fire systems, water under floor, power systems
are all monitored by a central system. Any alarms from these devices are
passed to the monitoring system for action by Cradle operations staff.
10. Around the clock "7 x 24" Surveillance / Security Tokens
The data centre security is controlled by a security token system. All doors
are monitored for forced entry and ³door open too long² alarms. Exchange
Centre Security controls and monitors the site security system 24 hours a
day, 7 days a week including cameras located in all access points and
regular roving tours.
